You have got to see this store! I found it when I met a friend in Childress. I knew it was a special place when I first drove up to the store. There was an abundance of really cool junk everywhere.
My first impression did not disappoint me. As soon as I stepped inside the door, I knew I was in a really cool place. There were ideas in every place I looked at. Apparently, light fixtures are a store specialty because I saw cool light fixtures everywhere.
Oh, how I wanted to bring this cow home! Elsa would make such a nice addition to either of my daughter's kitchens don't you think?
Check out the store name on the wall in the picture above! Isn't that an adorable way to display it? It is such a cool name too...Ballyhoo!
This store is a color and texture explosion of beautiful and cool items that delight the senses.
They carry clothing, jewelry, kitchen gadgets, light fixtures, vintage items, antiques, candles, gift items and anything else that takes their fancy.
Some are new items and some are snatched up from here or there, and some are crafted...check out this cool jewelry holder they made.
And look at this really cool sunglasses holder. I love this rocking cool idea.
I decided that they will make a light fixture out of just about anythings...no limits!
Even their dressing room was beyond charming and cool!
This store had me wishing our paycheck wasn't on the tail end of Christmas shopping and gifting. That is OK though because I will definitely return with money in my pocket.
I love places like this not only for the things I can buy but because they inspire me with my own creative ideas. There is just something about the presence of creativity that inspires me.
No tree? No worries just make one with paper cones...add light and hang it and you have another light fixture.
I don't think there is anything safe from becoming a light fixture in this place...this is a plastic Cream Jug.
How cool would this be hanging over a dining room table or a kitchen island?
See what I mean? Nothing is safe from becoming a light somehow. How cool is that? If all that isn't enough to convince you to stop by...then it might interest you to know that this place is also an Expresso cafe too.
What more could a person ask for? You can find Ballyhoo in Childress, Texas on the South side of Highway 287. Believe me when I say this little town is definitely worth a stop!
