How To Make A Canopy Fit For A Princess

My daughter decided that our little princess needed a canopy over her bed but we didn't want to spend a queen's ransom for one so she came up with a great inexpensive idea to make one.  I think it turned out really great.

If you take a closer look it is made with an embroidery hoop.  Embroidery hoops are very inexpensive and come in a huge range of sizes.  You can find them in the embroidery or quilting section of your local craft store.  She just removed the screws from the outside hoop and put 2 sheer curtain panels onto it just as you would curtains on a rod.  Put the screw back on and you are good to go.

My daughter wanted to hang some little chandeliers from hers and so she added a cross piece made of wires as a support for them.  She used cup hooks that were screwed into the ceiling to hang the entire piece from.

Here is a close up view just in case.  Sorry it turned out a bit blurry.

Now you have a canopy fit for a princess!  Here is our little princess when she tried spaghetti for the first time!  Apparently she loves spaghetti. (Yes this is a shameless excuse to show you pictures of my granddaughter!)  She is just so cute I couldn't resist!

And here she is when she looks a little more princess like.

Yes, I know it was another shameless excuse to show you her picture! LoL.  What can I say, I am a Gigi and she is just too cute!
