It was hard to shop knowing my kids were at our house and we were not (except I did get some really great boots!). I felt really guilty the whole time (I couldn't understand why he was so insistent to go). My dear hubby usually only wants to go to a couple of places when we go (he insisted on several). I was so relieved when he finally headed home.
We pulled into town and were so close to the destination when he made a wrong turn (No!!! I was thinking). He told me that he had to stop by our church and pick up his new Sunday School book. I reminded him it was Saturday and no one would be there on Saturday. He assured me there would be. He then asked me to come in with him. I entered the fellowship hall to find a wonderful surprise. So many of my loved ones had taken time to make the trip to my party it made my heart hurt with joy (yes, I did cry). It was wonderful and I am so thankful and blessed to have so many dear wonderful people in my life. I know most ladies would not be too excited about 50, but I think it is going to be a great year! It has certainly started out well! There is some more good news, I actually know how old I am this year! (but that is another story for another day)
