A Great Big Christmas Sparkle Bomb

Hello everyone.  I thought I would drop in and say a quick hello.

I am up to my neck in Christmas greenery, tinsel, and glitter right now.

My house looks like a big Christmas bomb blew up. I will spare you pictures of the messy details.

These pictures are from last year's big Christmas party table.

I am busy busy busy getting  ready for this year's big party

It is coming very soon.  I will hopefully get everything together and looking good

The food has already been planned and soon I will go shopping for all the ingredients.

My friend who does the catering has planned carefully so that every person who comes will feel special and find special food that delights the senses.

We work together to make the party a beautiful night for very beautiful people.

People who live their lives serving and helping others in their jobs.

Although all of them have different jobs they all play a part in serving our community.

Without them it just wouldn't be the same...they work in our local hospital.

Doctors, Nurses, Office personnel, Housekeeping, Lab Techs, Food Service, Maintenance, EMS, Home Health, Supervisors, Administrators, Aids, and many more jobs.  Some may feel invisible but I can assure you they are all so very important and so special.  They all play a part that is so important to so many people who pass through their halls.

My dear hubby and I feel they deserve the very best and so we try hard to make a night that is special just for them.  A night where they are treated to the best.

I hope they feel special.  I also want to challenge all of you to look around and see the people who serve you.  They may work at your bank or your store, or the fire department, the airlines, transportation, or church, or who knows where.  Look around and notice the people who serve you and help you (yes, they may get paid but notice anyway) I just want you to see that so many people do their job with a smile despite the things going on in their lives at home or despite being mistreated by the customers or whatever is going on in life.  They serve you and help you.  Notice them and maybe even bless them.  Even if it is for only a moment, try to make them feel special.  I promise it is you who will truly be blessed.  It just does something inside a person when they reach out to bless another.  It is one of the best feelings in the world.

Imagine how amazing the world would be if we all looked around to bless others around us.  We all have the ability to bless others even if it is just with a smile and a pat on the back or a hug.  You would be amazed at how much a smile can mean sometimes.  Maybe a sweet note of encouragement to a waitress or check out person.  You can  make a difference.  You really can.

You never know when you might be that one on the receiving end of that special smile or note or whatever.  Imagine how wonderful it would be to know that your life really does matter.  Let me say to all of you that, "You do matter!  You matter to me!
You are so special, not because you are reading this (although that thrills me too) but simply because you are and without you the world would be so much darker. You play a part (whether you know it or not) that can only be filled by you.  You matter and this world needs you and all the good that you have to offer."

Blessings to  you and to all those around you!
Until Next Time

WOW~ everything is gorgeous!
I had to giggle at the title of this post... I was in the check-out at the craft store over the weekend and there was glitter EVERYWHERE from people buying ornaments and glitter to decorate! :)
Great blog, by the way!

Hi, Debra, I just love the colors and sparkle. It's so much fresher than the same old reds and greens of Christmas. Are you going to be doing a mantel? I'm doing a post on different kinds of mantels and would love to include some of these beautiful colors. Or perhaps a Christmas Tree? I'm following you also and would love to have you follow me also perhaps on G+ or Twitter. Thanks so much, Linda

Hi Debbie,
I am so glad you came by and left your lovely words at my place so I could find your beautiful blog. I have been looking through some of your posts and I love it here!
Sure wish a Christmas bomb would go off in my house...I'm finding it hard to bring the decorations out so maybe this will inspire me.
