Yippee!!! They Are Blooming!

Look what bloomed in my garden!  I am always excited when something blooms but this year is especially exciting after such a heartbreaking year last year in our Texas gardens.  This is one of my David Austin Roses called Eden.

Eden has been one of my very favorites for my garden.  It has performed very well especially when you consider our extreme year last year.

When it blooms I just can't resist going out and snapping a few pictures.

This tea rose is another favorite of mine.  I lost so many roses last year so those that remain are extra special.  This one is called Arizona.  I planted it in honor of one of my very best friends who lives in Arizona.  True to its name, Arizona bloomed all summer last year despite the terrible high temperatures.

This is a picture of my some of my pinks.  They are so pretty and try as I might, I can never seem to get a picture that does them justice.  I love how their little blossoms look like they are dancing on their stems.

This wisteria has been a problem.  When we moved here it was growing nicely on our fence but it kept sneaking over to the neighbors bushes and house and because I try to always be a good neighbor I decided to take it out.  I knew they loved being cut back but I have also found out that they love to be dug up too.  It acts like I fertilized it. lol.

Here is another survivor in my garden.  It is rare for a plant to survive the winter when it is in a pot but this one did.  Now it is blooming its fool head off.  I am thinking that I need some of this ice plant in the ground too.

Here are a couple of my kittens who are nearly old enough to start exploring my garden.  I have  four so far with more on the way.  I love having cats laying in my flowers.  I know most gardeners do not feel that way but they don't do too much damage and they make me smile.  They also keep me company as I work in the garden and help to keep the rattlesnakes away.

This is Red Dog.  He joined our family a year ago.  He has brought much laughter to our house with all his crazy antics.  He used to live on a ranch but now he lives the posh lifestyle of an inside dog.  My dear hubby has been entertaining his Facebook friends with tales about Red Dog and won the hearts of many adults and children in our town.  They have begged him to write a book but he decided to start a blog and see how it goes.  I think you might enjoy reading about Red Dog's adventures too.  You can read them Here.  My dear hubby would love to have you over.
Until Next Time

You did have a terrible summer last year and so to see such beautiful roses is a treat. Interesting about the wisteria and I love those cute kitties.
I'll have to check your husband's blog.
Happy Easter.

That Arizona rose is gorgeous!! I'm a total sucker for tie-dyed orange roses, and it's silly that I haven't put one in my yard yet.

Nice Easter colored flowers here!

Grand roses! Your pets are adorable. You have to lie on the ground or stand on your head to do pinks justice in a photo so you get the angle of their precious stems.

Gorgeous roses! You are much farther ahead than we are here--I normally won't have roses in bloom until May. And of course I want to scritch the ears of Red Dog and pet the kittens!
