A Walk Thru My Garden

The weather is so beautiful! The birds are singing, my grass is green, my trees are beautiful, I have little kittens everywhere, and my flowers are blooming. I took a few snaps to share with you.

I have lots of things blooming this week.

My columbine didn't want to show their pretty faces this year. They have been looking down since the rains last week. Maybe now that the sun is shining they will grace me.

This was a small tree given to me by a dear friend of mine who has moved away. She called it a honeysuckle tree. It is always beautiful.

Underneath it's pretty branches I have some Oxalis

My allium and bluebonnets are blooming. . .

along with my beardstongue

The yellow iris were given to me by a kind neighbor couple who both passed away this past winter. Now when I see the iris I will think of their kindness.

They have really multiplied but they are so pretty.

I have tons of roses blooming. I shared my pictures of them on my garden blog:

My Pedro kitty is enjoying the beautiful day in my garden too.

I have been busy planting all my containers this week.

My old fashioned peonies are almost ready to bloom.

My kitty, Isabel is shy so she stays just out of reach most of the time. Every once in a while she will let me pet her and love on her.

I have New Dawn roses that start out pink when they are buds . . .

Then when they are open they become white.

Here you can see one of my peony bushes ready to burst out in full bloom.

I usually cover my air conditioner with pots all around it. I am thinking of building a white picket fence surround. I think it will make a nice backdrop for the pots.

This is Ace, he comes to visit me sometimes. He thought my garden was a nice place to be too. The evening was so beautiful that the whole family hung out and visited there. That is exactly why I work so hard in my garden. I want it to be a beautiful peaceful place where people like to be.

Debbie, your gardens look so pretty. I just planted two peony bushes last week. I know they won't bloom until next year but we sure are excited.

It is always so nice to stroll thru someone else's garden while I am waiting for mine. My peonies are peeking from the buds and there are buds on my roses but no flowers yet. We have had a cold wet sprig so we are a couple of weeks behind normal. Thanks for sharing your garden.
