I forget how much I love mums until they are blooming again . . .
Suddenly I am so glad that I remembered to plant some . . .
I enjoy their presence all through spring and summer . . .
I faithfully pinch them back until July . . .
Lots of them I bought after their blooms had faded . . .
I wasn't really sure what they would look like . . .
I just can't leave sad little plants in the store to be thrown out . . .
So when I see them marked down I pick them up . . .
And take them home . . .
wondering if they will be pretty . . .
Sometimes even wondering what color they will be . . .
And when they begin to bloom in the fall . . .
I remember again . . .
How very much I enjoy them . . .
And it seems that Xavier enjoys them too.
Until Next Time

Love that you rescue plants too! You have some gorgeous ones here..
Hey Debbie, how nice that you don't care what color the mum turns out to be. It's always fun to be surprised. I know what you mean about throwing them out. At work, we toss lots of them. I always hate seeing that.

You do have a pretty collection of mums. You're good about pinching them back, that's the part I always forget.
That's a gorgeous colour combination of the orange chrysanths beside the green metal chair.
Your garden must be so pretty, love all the colours.
Enjoy the rest of the week
