Have you ever dreamed of going to the Bahamas. I have. I still am. My daughters got to go about 17 months ago and so I thought I would show you the island of Nassau through my youngest daughter's lens. I know many people are having to do staycations rather than vacations because of the economic times so I thought you might enjoy going there through beautiful pictures like I do. Maybe someday . . .

I just love the colors in this picture. In fact I think this would make a beautiful painting.

This isn't the picture I would have imagined but I know there is much poverty in even the most beautiful of places.

Bless my daughter, she knew I would want to see pictures of buildings (especially church buildings).
I wonder how many hurricanes this old building has been through.

Have you ever noticed how in some places you can paint any color and it looks great on houses but then other places like my neighborhood you wouldn't dare.

I love the teal colors on this building in the picture below.

What a perfect color to paint a shopping plaza.

Another pretty church

My daughter even got some pictures with great perspective

I am not sure why but I love pictures of old windows and doors. They always seem to say so much.

I can envision this picture as a painting too.

I think my daughter might have a bit of artist in her despite what she thinks. Her angles were pretty good in this picture.

She even got some great shadow play in this picture.

Nassau must be a great place if they even paint their overpasses my favorite color.

Even their large buildings look cool painted in pastel colors.

My favorite color again.

I don't usually like a darker trim color than the main paint color but it really works on this building. All these bright colors make me smile.

Not sure what the picket fence is there for but it looks cool against that beautiful water and sky.

I would love to sit on this beach drinking some ice tea and just enjoy the beauty. I will post some more of the Bahamas from my oldest daughter's lens next week. I hope you have a great time this week.

I'm a new follower. I did enjoy these beautiful photos. We are one of the staycation people of whom you speak. Our vacation to Maine to visit our daughter and new son-in-law got shelved with a cut back. We're thankful we still have a job; but I would have loved the trip.Your daughter has a good eye for photography.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting these gorgeous pictures. They are just what I needed today. It's been raining here for a month now with only a few breaks in the rain for sun. I haven't seen the ocean in 17 yrs. so these pics have lifted my spirit! Have a safe and happy 4th! Hugs, Loretta ps your daughter is quite the photographer.
