Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park

I thought I would share a bit of the garden pictures I took at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial State Park near Eagle's Nest, New Mexico

Our visit here was one of the highlights of our trip to New Mexico.

Stepping into the garden was like taking a deep breath of fresh air.  It was so calm and peaceful.

The trees were an important part of this garden.

I also enjoyed the way the rocks were used in this garden.

They made lovely alpine borders and were beautiful in and around the little pond.

I hope you enjoyed it too.
Until Next Time

Yes, I can see why you loved this place so much, Debbie. It's like an oasis.

What a lovely tribute to the veterans. These living memorials make you feel that there is some continuity and beauty despite wars, and that their sacrifice hasn't been in vain.

Thank you for sharing this. It was indeed soothing. Loved the bench by the trees. A pergola over it might look nice but nothing really beats real trees for shade. Adored the rock garden as well. Kinda partial to waterscapes and stonescapes.
