The days are much cooler now here in my garden. We can hear the cackle of crows now and the thump of acorns dropping off of the oaks. Soon the leaves will turn beautiful colors and fall will be in full force.
It seems as if this year has been a whirl. It has passed so quickly that I can not hardly believe it. It won't be long now and the cold days of winter will be upon us.
All the more reason to cherish every beautiful moment of Autumn. There are so many fun things I love to do this time of year.
Things like roasting marshmallows out on a fire with friends or driving along country roads. I love taking walks in the Autumn evenings, or even just sitting out on my patio enjoying my kitties antics.
I must admit that I have quite a few cats. I laughingly tell my husband that I am collecting at least one of each color. Honestly they just seem to show up around here. Some days I wonder if the neighbors are helping my bunch to grow. Of course there are those kittens that seem to come every springtime too.
I love sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the birds too. I know most people don't like the sound of the crows but it just wouldn't seem like fall without them; And the ducks flying over are also a favorite sound of mine in Autumn.
There are so many things I love about fall, the sights, the sounds, the smells.
I love Friday Night football games too. Down here in Texas that is a must! It has been a little sad for me this year because it seems that every time our team has played at home this year I have been out of town so that is one pleasure I haven't got to experience this year. Sometimes the busyness of life just seems to overtake the things we love.
I need to make a mental note to not miss out on the Friday night lights next year.
What are your favorite things about Fall?
I would love to hear what fun things you enjoy and what your favorite sights and smells of Autumn are. Isn't it a fun time of year?
I hope you take the time to stop and enjoy some of those favorite things this year.
Until Next Time
