Water Gardens

I love water gardens. They are so calming to me.

I love water, rocks and plants. With water gardens you get all three.

If you live somewhere that street noise is a problem then the sound of a waterfall or a fountain is an excellent way to diminish the street noise.

The sound of water is also a great way to make a space seem cooler.

There is just something about the sound of water that changes the entire atmosphere.

A water garden also adds a great focal point and excitement to your garden.

Even critters are attracted to water gardens.

For me the critters that show up are half the fun of having a water garden.

Water gardens come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and even styles.

All of these water gardens are located at the Wildseed Wildflower Farm in Fredricksburg, Texas. One of my very favorite places.

I have been working on a water garden at my house and it was so much easier to install than I ever dreamed.

I will be posting pictures of it from start to finish very soon.

In the mean time I thought you might enjoy these.

Until Next Time

Oh I agree! Those are some beautiful water features. Looking forward to your posting on HOW you created yours. Not enough info out there on how to do it. I think you could be very helpful.

As for me, I, um, decided not to be that creative and just went out and bought a fountain that I thought was pretty. Love it. The sound is tranquil.

Be sure to aim the flow towards your home to flow good energy in your direction. Yay!

These are such beautiful water gardens. I am making do with a small fountain in my yard, but a gorgeous, soothing water feature like these is on my wish list. Thanks for sharing these!

THE majority of ponds, cascades, water gardens in USA, not only look gaudy but worst, artificial. I guess the problem is that neither contractors nor customers are really educated in the subject. In my humble intercontinental opinion.

Water gardens are really so much fun. But if you are going to put up one on your backyard or your own garden, then it might get a hefty price from your pocket for the maintenance. But although that is the case, water garden is still a great way to hype up your garden and home.

I enjoy Garden Blogs, and yours is so delightful. I am recooperating from a two weeks stay in bed, and these are so thrilling to see. I discovered your blog the first of the year, and missed out for a time, when you were predisposed for a time. The Lord is good, and greatly to be praised.

I definitely agree with Rose here. Water gardens could be a little expensive but all is worth it because you get so much fun and relaxation from these water gardens. Plus it cools your area because of the flowing water.

Those are wonderful garden waterfalls...makes my old wooden barrel and pump look ..um a little trite...but you are so right. The sound of running water in a yard are wonderful. I have them both in the front and back yards. The back is a great place to burrow in the pillows on the lawn swing and take an afternoon nap! It's good for the soul...running water!
Hugs!

I remember when I was a kid I used to spend a lot of time playing in a water garden near our home. Oh, I love the relaxing sound of water trickling down every leaf and rock! I wish I were at a water garden right now and just enjoy the serenity radiating from it.
