Colorado Wildflowers And Grasses

After a summer with many hot days, long hours, and frustrations, my dear hubby and I decided to take a few days off. We travelled by car 12 hours North, to Avon Colorado. This little town is nestled deep into the Vail Valley of the Rockie Mountains. It was amazing. The flowers and grasses were beautiful and the mountains restoring. I thought I would share a few of my pictures of some of the Colorado wildflowers and grasses that we saw (remember some are best viewed in the enlarged size by clicking on the picture). Enjoy . . .

I hope your week is filled with blessings
Until Next Time

A trip to Colorado sounds wonderful. I've only been there a time or two but I love that state. You snapped some real beauties. Love seeing wildflowers.

How pretty. It's interesting to see what is a wildflower some places are plants I go out and buy here. Not much prettier than wildflowers that plant themselves in unusual places.

Debbie, I saw some of my favorites on your pictures. Thanks! I love to see how plants grow on the rocks and between the rocks.

These flowers are doing amazingly for the tiny amount of nourishment they must get. Great idea for a post.
