Care For You Feet In Summer

Wow, has it been hot outside here in Texas. Last weekend it got up to 106 degrees. With our unusually high humidity levels it felt like 116 degrees. I like to work in the garden a lot and I wear those amazingly beautiful crocs. I know they are a bit goofy looking but they are so great for my feet and they wash off so easily and they keep them cooler in the hot weather (and they are antimicrobial which means no stinky feet). The only problem with these shoes and all the sandals and slides that I like to wear when it gets hot outside is that my 45 year old feet really start looking their age. My heels get dried out and they crack. Sometimes it can even be painful if the cracks are bad enough. I also have to contend with some really dirty stained feet sometimes. For the stains I use a bit of minty fresh toothpaste on a brush and scrub my feet. It makes them feel refreshed and does a great job of removing the stains. I have tried a lot of different products to help with the other problem and finally found one that I really do enjoy using.
I like to use Honey & Lemon Delightful Cream by L'Occitane on my feet and hands. It really soothes my dry feet and adds back much needed moisture. It is enriched with honey from Provence and lemon essential oil which softens my skin. I like to apply it right after my shower or bath to help lock in even more moisture. Remember to drink plenty of water during the dog days of summer. It will help you feel less tired as well as keep your skin looking younger. I hope you have a great week.
