What Did You Say? "No Hose!"

As most of you already know, I have been doing tons of reading and studying about what it takes to be hip and in style these days. One of the surprising things that I learned is that pantyhose are not hip anymore (unless you are dressing for a very formal evening affair) In the winter months it is hip to wear opaque tights but sheer hose are out. In many ways I am relieved. No longer will I have to work so hard to get those things on only to have them go rolling back down or have them sagging around my knees or ankles. No more worries about runs or rips. Yes!!! But wait, what do I do about my legs. Remember they are not so young and dewy looking like in days past. Well . . . I found this great stuff when I tried one of those beloved samples from Sephora. It is called Per-fekt. It is not really a tanner but yet it does add a bit of golden color to my legs. It isn't really a makeup, although it does help to give your legs a more perfekt look. It only takes a tiny little bit. It does not come off on your clothes once it is dry and it lasts all day. It has a bit of water resistance (just in case it rains) but it washes off easily in the shower. It is a bit of an investment but the trade off is that I am still using the same tube that I bought last year so I feel it was definitely worth it. It makes my legs look great and that is no easy feat these days.

Note: This was not a paid post and there was no exchange of goods or services for the recommendations. I received a free sample of the Per*fekt from Sephora as a gift with a purchase and then purchased a full size tube from the company.

Pur-fect? I'm looking for this stuff. At 50 I see other people my age (and younger) that have tanned way too much and its really aging. So glad I didnt. So I need something to make my legs look better if I cant get a tan. How sweat proof is it for really hot weather?

Thanks for letting me know about the panty hose. I don't like hose and don't use them much at all, but I used them because of panty lines, now what?

I'm glad panty hose are passe. I stopped wearing them years ago when I decided to dress for comfort and wear slacks. I never could understand women who wore slacks with panty hose underneath. I love wearing socks. A couple of weeks ago there was a news article on panty hose where it was stated that only women over 40 were wearing them and that under 40 didn't. I'm way over 60 and I don't wear them. The only thing worst than panty hose is the old garter belts and nylons. I don't think it is necessary to wear them at formal occasions either. None of the celebrity stars wear hose with their formals anymore either. Enjoyed your blog!
