I Have Been A Bad Bad Girl!

I put all the names into a big bowl and stirred them up and . . .the winner is Catherine from Shabby Chic Cat's Gardening Closeups! She has a gorgeous blog so if you have never been by her blog then you might pop in and congratulate her while you take in all her beautiful eye candy.

Now for a little more good news before I move on to the bad I decided to thank everyone who entered my giveaway by listing all their blogs for you. You should give them a visit and a shout out while you are there they would love it and visiting their blogs will be a real treat for you, I promise:

And to those of you who did not have blogs I thank you also.
(If I missed your blog please please please drop me a line so i can add it.)
Now for how I have been a bad girl. Well . . . I was out shopping and I bought this . . .

And this . . .

And this . . .

And this one . . .

yes, this one too . . .

And this one . . .(it is looking bad isn't it?)

And I bought this . . .

And this (yes, I know I showed that picture up above, I forgot I already had it and bought it again). The worst part of this story is that you don't even know half of it. These are only the Better Homes And Gardens magazines for gardening that I bought. I didn't show you all the decorating magazines, or the cooking magazines, or the beauty magazines or even the garden magazines by other companies. I know, it is very bad. (I need to talk to these magazines about a bulk deal) I just have this bad habit that needs to be filled as soon as a new one comes out. I do have rules though before I can buy one. I flip quickly through each one and there has to be at least 3 things in the magazine that captures my interest before I can buy it. (I tell my husband that it saves him lots of money) He probably said the same thing that you are thinking right now. I do pass them along (at least the ones I don't keep). I also love books, but I won't even go there at least not yet. . .

I do have to say that Better Homes And Gardens has been scratching my itch for years. They are one of my very favorites as I have shared before. They also have a great web site that you should stop by and see. They have a great plant encyclopedia with color pictures of all the plants

I am amazed by all the neat things to see and the great information that I find at the Better Homes And Gardens new garden channel at their website. And there is more good news . . . they have giveaways going on right now so get over there and put your name in the hat for their great prizes. You just won't believe the page of giveaways and contests that you will find including the Prius Giveaway and the Hot Giveaway a Day. (Be sure to look all around because their are tons of giveaways and contests on their site)

Note: This was not a paid post and there were no goods given in exchange for the mentions or products in this post. There was a link given by the BHG Garden Channel for my mention of the channel and giveaway.

Congrats to the winner! And thanks for the shout out to my blog. That was really sweet.

Girl, you know some people have a shoe fetish, some purse fetish, but you? Oh my!

Actually I would have to all of those magazines myself. They always have great stuff in there!

I have quite a few of those same ones. I save magazines and go back through them on cold or rainy days looking for ideas.
Congrats to the winner!

I subscribe to Country Gardens....it is my fave, but it only comes out 4 times a year, not enough. You should be really inspired after reading all those garden mags! :-)

Girls...If you can't walk away from a magazine rack without purchasing 8-10 magazines, you need to get immediate counseling PLEASE...BH&G sent me a thank you card for Debbie's single handed effort in fighting off the recession for their company with her purchases...Our last child will no longer be able to attend college now...But I still love her...

Hi TD~~ I LOVE your blog! Look at all the great inspiration you found today. I'll have to seriously check in to these. A friend of mine passes along her Better Homes & Gardens proper but I find it incredibly disappointing. (And I don't have the heart to tell her no thanks.) The gardening articles are short, the pictures are almost always microscopic with a huge, full page pharmaceutical add on the opposite. Okay enough bemoaning that. Anyway, I love your husband's sense of humor and we garden addicts are helping stimulate the economy. I'm headed over to BH&G's website. Freebies! Thanks for the tip. I'll be back.

We are definately "magazine sisters". I have also bought about half of these. The other half I've stood in the store and looked at all the pictures. Curling up with new magazines (garden, decorating) for the afternoon with a pot of coffee is pure HEAVEN!! AFter I've read them over and over and think I can part with them (usually in the fall for springt/summer issues) I'll cut out my favorite pics or ideas and put in a binder of "things to do".

I know I already posted but I had to write. Today I almost succumbed to the temptation to buy Country Gardens. If it weren't for ensuing time demands conflicting with a wait in line, I probably would have. Delicious eye candy!

I love Country Gardens magazine and have been a subscriber for a couple years. I have never seen the Natures Garden. It looks like a good magazine to.

Debbie, if at the end of the day, those magazines leave you inspired then I say, why not? ;-)

You inspired me to grab some planters for my outside window sill and plant more petunias in!

Hi Debbie;-) If that's bad, I want to be bad, too!! It's great to be bad, in the way you told your tale! You will have loads of blooms to look at, and ideas to create in your own garden. And if you can't 'create' them, they'll leave lovely pictures in your head to think about every day! I hope you have a Happy Easter, and a wonderful spring, dear Debbie;-)

Too Funny Debby, you put a BIG smile on my face, cos you reminded me of the days when I would do exactly that. I do not know if it is because I am getting more satisfied in my garden and "house" now, that I do not indulge so much - I am glad really, but I tell you as soon as I will be ready to do a new room makeover, I will probably hit about 8 relative mags at least. So I guess it never really goes away. All the magazines you show are the ones I ALWAYS bought as soon as they hit the shelves, but looking at the covers of yours, I have decided to go an by myself the two Country Gardens that you show. They were always my favourites anyway. So I am looking forwad to heding over to the magazine rack, so BH&G will be able to thank you some more for the advertising here.........oh, and your poor dear Larry!!!!! At least your honest with him, that take guts! :) Have a great Easter! Cheers, Pauline.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Okay since you confessed, I will too. I have tons of magazines around the house, but I reread them all the time. I do share with others, sometimes cut up the old ones and even give them away. I do love the inspiration, pictures and ideas! Thanks for sharing!

Found your site...don't know how, but I'm here. lol about the mags. I got the first one as well, but stopped there. Love the inspirational and positive beliefs. Mine as well. I bookmarked your site, so at least I'll find it again. Too cold to garden, so will read. Be well.
