I thought I would let you tour a bit more of my home. As you can probably tell, I can't make up my mind what style I like best. I guess it is just several versions of romantic if I had to put it in a category. This is a sweet church I found in one of my very favorite shops.
This is a dresser that I refinished a couple of years ago & added some pretty roses to it.
Another view of my dresser.
A friend of mine made this arrangement for me.
This is our bed that we bought back in February. Our first king size bed. I made the bed linens before it arrived & it along with our new mattress was much more massive than a standard king comforter would fit so I had to add a skirt to each side of the comforter. Not exactly as I had envisioned but a good artist always uses their mistakes to their advantage. I added some decals to the bed to dress it up a bit. I plan to paint the gray granite looking parts to a different color of granite & to look a little more realistic, but I didn't have time so it will have to wait until after Christmas.
I finally got the pillows made too.
I found the sweet girl at a craft mall & I made the teacup Christmas tree.
I found this chandelier on Ebay for $20. It was supposed to hang the other way but I liked it better upside down, so I moved some things around, rewired it, painted it white, added crystals, & made lampshades for it.
I just finished remodeling this guest room. I retextured, added crown moulding, & painted. This hangs on the wall. The color looks blue, but it is not quite blue & not quite green. Kind of like a Tiffany's box.
I am Christian but I love some of the Jewish traditions because that is after all where we Christians get our roots, so I have a menorrah. I found this beautiful silver one to put in this room.
My pretty white & pink Christmas tree.
A shot of my big fluffy bed. I love all my beds to be comfy. The white scares a few of my guests till I assure them that it can be thrown in the washer & it is supposed to look wrinkled. It is a comforter cover from the Rachel Ashwell collection at Target. (One of my favorite stores.)
This is in my master bathroom. Every room in the house gets decorated. When my bed arrived I couldn't believe the faux granite on it matched the ugly gray counters in my master bathroom. Oh well, it is a good thing I am a faux painter because they are both getting changed to a bit of a softer color of faux granite. I am famous here in Seymour for my faux granite counter tops. They look quite real when I am finished. I will try to get pics for you & instructions for any of you who may have some counters you hate too.
